The Casina Valadier is located on the highest point of the Pincio
(ROME – LAZIO). It was built between 1816 and 1837 by Giuseppe
Valadier, well-known Roman architect and city planner. It was originally
designed as a meeting-place but it was only after World War I that
the Casina became the “most fashionable” gathering place
in Rome for artists, intellectuals and statesmen from all over the
world. The guest book of the Casina Valadier contains the signatures
of famous men such as Gandhi, King Farouk, Pirandello and many others.
