ROUGH:
Tile as it comes out of the kiln, uniformly rough on the surface, is ideal for any kind of exterior use.
AGED:
The rough surface of the tile is abraded before firing to make it look old. Thanks to its easy maintenance it is particularly indicated for restoration or interior flooring meant to look old or rustic.
AGED BACK TO FRONT:
The marks the artisan’s hand leaves on the tile are buffered before firing to smooth out the surface
without removing the natural irregularities.
ANTIQUED:
This new finish, personalized by Sugaroni, is an answer to the market demand for a period product, ideal for art renovations or for new works that should look as if they had always been there, easy to clean, to be used everywhere.
HONED:
Complete removal of the uppermost layer after firing results in a perfectly smooth surface with unique and original nuances of color. It is ideal for flooring and can be adapted to all tastes and styles. Maintenance is particularly easy.
"GENTILIZIA SUGARONI”:
This type of finish is carried out on flooring that has already been installed and grouted, before washing for the final treatment. In addition to softening the rough-grained texture, it “smooths out” the imperfections created in the laying such as small projections between one tile and the next. “Gentilizia Sugaroni” can also be carried out on aged, honed antico and cotto parquet to enhance the flooring, on rough (grezzo) to improve the livability of the rooms. The incredible sensation created is that of “soft” “worn” flooring, without sharp edges, velvety on the smooth parts and pleasingly irregular on the others. Floors with a Gentilizia finish need no maintenance except dry mopping!
