Roma – Aqua Alexandrina Aqueduct

zoom on the photo

This aqueduct is named after Alexander Severus who had it built in ROME (LAZIO) in AD 226. The waters came from località Pantano Borghese, three kilometers north of Colonna, and around 22 km from their source they flowed into Nero’s baths near the Pantheon.
