The most imposing arena of the ancient world.
The Flavian amphitheater was inaugurated in ROME (LAZIO) in AD 80 by the emperor Titus. In the eleventh century it was called Colosseum after the statue of Nero nearby, modeled on the Colossus of Rhodes.
