Roma – Palazzo Spada

zoom on the photo

The famous Perspective Gallery in ROME (LAZIO) was commissioned by Cardinal Bernardino Spada from the architect Francesco Borromini, who worked on it in collaboration with the mathematician Father Giovanni Maria da Bitonto between 1652 and 1653. Although it is actually only around nine meters deep, it looks as if it were over thirty meters long.
